Croatia Day....?
We did manage to extend our stay at Savudrija, in fact, we are still here! We determined that we needed an extension lead so that we can keep our fridge in the awning, but of course, it is impossible to buy a three pin plug extension in Europe.
Kirsty has posted us one from the UK, hence why we are still on this campsite! It is due today so we have extended our stay to allow time for it to arrive.
We have sampled a few local delicacies whilst we have been here and are definitely eating local. On Saturday a man came round taking orders for freshly caught fish. He delivered it yesterday so last night we had sea bream and sea bass, with fresh new potatoes and green beans which were grown on the smallholding behind our pitch!
We still haven't had a day where the sea was calm enough for the stand up paddle board. But today is looking promising!
We have not seen or spoken to a single English person since leaving Folkestone. All the other people staying on our campsite are German, Slovenian, Austrian, Italian and Dutch.
We had an early start this morning. Craig went for a run at 6am - Any later than that is way too hot!
Trevor continues to amaze us with his heat resilience. We try our hardest to keep him in the shade but once he is wet from swimming in the sea, all he wants to do is lay in the sun! (see the final photo LOL)
