The beginning - Jersey

After a very manic few days preparing for our trip, we left home on Sunday 29th May and took the high speed catamaran from Poole to Jersey.

We are staying at The Palms Campsite in St Ouen for two whole weeks of recovery from the stress!!

The weather has been great all week but has changed for the worst for the Jubilee weekend. Typical!

Jersey is unbelievably beautiful and unspoilt. The beaches are fabulous, the roads are small and quiet and the parking is mostly free!

We have met a number of very nice and friendly people already, some of which we will be staying in contact with. 

The highlight of the week in terms of food are the Jersey Royal potatoes. Wow. And they can bought via honesty boxes on the side of the road pretty much anywhere!

Costa Brava - Blanes

We left Cambrils on Monday and drove past Barcelona and onto the Costa Brava. We checked in to a campsite in Blanes called Camping Blanes, which has direct access onto the promenade and beach. On Tuesday we walked along the promenade and explored the town. It has a lot to offer, with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, buildings and gardens.
