Mosquito Gate
We had a second night of mosquito hell as well as late night/early morning extremely loud music keeping us awake! It was coming from the other side of the peninsula.
Yesterday we drove into Pula and found an electrical store which sold two pin to three pin adaptor plugs, so that we can use mosquito plugs in the van.
Whilst in Pula, we stumbled across the Amphitheatre, the 6th largest in the world. It was spectacular! They were in the process of clearing it out, following a week long music festival. That was the source of the late night music which kept us awake!!
We sat and had a coffee there and for the first time since Folkstone, met someone who's first language is English! A young chap from Tasmania, Australia, who had just arrived in Pula on a bus from Italy.
Before heading back to the campsite, we visited a number of shops in a shopping complex for various items, such as a fan, mosquito plugs, repellent spray, dog food, suntan lotion, groceries.... Amazingly, Trevor was allowed in all the shops and he thoroughly enjoyed the air conditioning!
We received a call yesterday from our original campsite to confirm that our extension lead has finally arrived in the post! Nearly two weeks late!
Our third and final night of sleep on that campsite was a million times better as we had a fan blowing all night to keep us cool, plus a mosquito plug in and deterrent spray and no loud music to keep us awake!
We are now on our way back to Savudrija to collect the extension lead, before heading further south in Croatia (destination to be confirmed!)
