Nin, Craig's birthday
We picked up Kirsty, Charlie, Alex and Thea from Zadar Airport on Tuesday evening.
There was a storm on Wednesday afternoon and it rained, hooray!! A shame for them on their first full day, but it was a relief for us as the air was freshened a bit. The first daytime rain we'd seen.
They were eaten alive by mosquitos on the first night, but that now seems to be under control.
It was Craig's 60th Birthday on Thursday so we went out in Nin for the evening. We had a drink in a bar before a lovely meal in the Mad Duck, which specialises in Street Food. Very nice!
The ladies of the family have used the medicinal mud which is found in the lagoon between the campsite and the beach. It is supposed to have healing properties for all kinds of conditions. You spread the mud over your body, allow it to dry before washing it off in the sea.
Last night we had a massive thunder storm in the early hours of the morning. Kirsty and Charlie ended up abandoning their tent and sleeping in the van with us! So we had 6 humans and a dog in our little van!!
