Nin

Saturday and Sunday night it was extremely windy and we had to lower the roof on the van, which meant we lost our ventilation! So we had a couple of very hot nights.

We decided it was time to move on so we packed up Monday morning and headed further down the Croatian coast road to Zadar. The route passed through a National Park with mountains on one side and multiple islands in the sea the other side.
We ended up in Nin, which is just outside Zadar. We stopped at a campsite called Camping Ninska Laguna, which was recommended to us by a German couple we met.

The campsite is basic, a bit old fashioned, and run by a very old man who told me he once visited England in 1952 by boat!

It has a small swimming pool and is a five minute walk to a 5km long naturally sandy beach, which is beautiful.
Yesterday evening we walked the short distance to the old town of Nin, which is around 3000 years old and is an island, accessed via a footbridge.
