Makarska

On Saturday we packed up and left Camping Baska Polje and drove the short distance to the port town of Makarska.

It is a beautiful little town with some old buildings and churches. We walked around the shady narrow paths for a while, then stopped in a cafe called Smiles for brunch.
We later travelled further down the coast road until we found Camp Ciste, a small family run site near Drvenik. It has a cluster of beaches, some of which are dog friendly.

It also has its own beach bar/restaurant, so we ate there last night! We had grilled chicken and cevapicici, which are delicious Croatian sausages.

We had the hottest night of the holiday so far last night.. There was a very hot and strong wind blowing, which made the temperature unbearable.
