Split and beyond
From Nin, we followed the coast road further south.
yesterday we visited the beach bar "Viagra" 🤔 for an iced coffee, which Craig believes is the best so far.
On route, we saw forest fires in the distance. A little bit unnerving!
Just before Split, we stopped off at a campsite we had visited before, Belvedere, where we stayed in a chalet back in 2017. They wanted to charge around 90 euros a night for camping, so we moved on!
We drove through Split, which was a sprawling ugly city.
About 50 miles south of Split we found a campsite called Baska Polje, just outside of Baska Voda. It has spectacular mountains behind, and the pitches are amongst pine forest on a steep slope from a gorgeous pebbly beach.
We saw a black squirrel in the trees on the way back to the van!
