1st September - Autumn arrives

We spent a wonderful 11 nights at Starigrad, in probably our favourite Croatian campsite, but today it was time to move on.

The weather has changed dramatically, in fact, it is only 19 degrees! Almost as if autumn arrived on 1st September. 

We took the coast road North and stopped for a walk and lunch at Senj.

We arrived back at Autokamp Punta Povile, which is where we were for our wedding anniversary at the beginning of July. It is blowing a gale!!

Before setting up camp we drove to the nearby Novi Vinodolski to get some shopping in Lidl.

Afterwards, we somehow managed to drive down a very narrow steep road, with walls either side, too narrow for the van, so we had to reverse back up. The clutch was burning terribly so we are now left with a nasty smell in the van. Hopefully no lasting damage done, but we will keep an eye on it.

Fingers crossed the weather improves tomorrow!
