Burgos

We had a lot of rain overnight on Wednesday and on Thursday morning, so ended up packing up a lot of wet kit before dropping Gary off at the airport.

We headed southwest away from the Atlantic coast and ended up at a campsite called Fuentes Blancas, just outside of a city called Burgos.

Thankfully the weather was dry but very cold overnight!

Today we walked into the city through a lovely riverside park.
The city is most famous for its intact medieval architecture and the French Gothic Cathedral of St. Mary, where El Cid's tomb can be found.
We wondered around the city sights before returning to the campsite.

Tomorrow we will be heading further south.
