Lake Garda

We set up camp at Campeggio del Garda, which is right on the banks of Lake Garda and our pitch was about two minutes from the shore.

Lake Garda is Italy's largest lake and was created by glaciers in the last ice age. It is just under 100 miles all the way around. We were at the southern tip.
There are lovely paths around the edge of the lake. We went for a walk and for a swim before heading into Peschiera del Garda for pizza.
This morning we woke to a spectacular thunder and lightning storm. There was even a tornado over the lake!!
We have left Lake Garda now and are continuing our journey.
