Zarautz continued...

Craig's cousin Gary joined us on Sunday for 4 nights. He flew into Bilbao - we picked him up and over the course of his visit, we went to Gelatia, Zaurutz, San Sebastian and Zumaia.

We had quite a lot of rain and wind, so most of the time was spent sight seeing, eating and drinking!!

We caught the train to San Sebastian and Zumaia. 

In San Sebastian, we saw the famous La Concha beach, walked along the promenade and around the old town.

We ate Pintxos for lunch in a small authentic bar in the old town.
Zumaia has two beaches, which are of interest to geologists because they are situated among the longest set of continuous rock strata in the world. 
We walked around the town and visited the rock strata. And we had a brilliant three course meal with wine for 12.50 euros per person!!!

We left Cambrils on Monday and drove past Barcelona and onto the Costa Brava. We checked in to a campsite in Blanes called Camping Blanes, which has direct access onto the promenade and beach. On Tuesday we walked along the promenade and explored the town. It has a lot to offer, with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, buildings and gardens.
