Alvor continued...

On Friday night we went to the campsite bar. It was full of expats and they had karaoke! It was our first real 'English' experience since the start of our trip.

On Saturday we ventured into the town of Alvor. It has a historic bustling old town, which opens up onto a 3.5km long sandy beach, backed by boardwalks along the nature reserve.
At one end of the beach, there are some fascinating rock formations in the sea.
Apparently there is more than a 10% chance of a potentially-damaging tsunami occurring in the next 50 years in Portugal, so they have made provisions...
Although the town is typically Portugese, the bars and restaurants are very much geared towards the British tourists.

After locking our keys in the van, we spent a while on Saturday evening breaking in with a piece of wire...!!

Today we had a roast dinner in the campsite bar, Jolly's. That was a novelty!
