Gibraltar

On Friday we went to Gibraltar, which is a British Overseas Territory off the coast of Spain. It was so strange showing our passports to get in, then having to drive across the barrier controlled airport runway!
We parked up by the World Trade Centre and walked around the town. It was so interesting and strange to see so much Britishness!
Gibraltar is of course, famous for its colony of Barbary Macaques which live on the Rock. We didn't see them as we had Trevor the dog with us.

The Royal Marines captured Gibraltar in 1704, hence the reason why it appears on their badge.

Costa Brava - Blanes

We left Cambrils on Monday and drove past Barcelona and onto the Costa Brava. We checked in to a campsite in Blanes called Camping Blanes, which has direct access onto the promenade and beach. On Tuesday we walked along the promenade and explored the town. It has a lot to offer, with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, buildings and gardens.
